The L. Weingarten 'A Series of Questions' Series Fights Transphobia

The L. Weingarten 'A Series of Questions' photo project brings light to the transphobic and gender-biased preconceptions, comments and events that transpire every day that people might not even be aware of. The photos show transgender, transsexual and gender-variant individuals holding signs with questions that they have be asked by strangers, friends and family, and coworkers. The purpose of the project is to turn the questions onto the viewer, to show how invasive, personal and often uncomfortable this interrogation can be.

With progress being made to gain equality for gay, lesbian and bisexual people, the Weingarten 'A Series of Questions' collection gives representation to the lesser-known section of LGBT communities. The ongoing series is available for viewing on the artist's website, along with regular open calls for participants worldwide.
