The Green Weaving Golf Club Mimics the Luscious Landscape

Sensitivity is required of the problem solving that arises when an architect is given the challenge of designing a building like the Green Weaving Golf Club in South Korea. When a site is located within an open landscape, one has to ensure that the built structure respects the authority of the natural world that surrounds it.

The solution devised by Hyunjoon Yoo Architects did not, however, suffice to blend into the background, and the talented team behind the project even strove to create a clubhouse that embodied an abstract quality. The way such a bold contemporary aesthetic strikes a harmony with the rolling hills is in the illusion created by the building's apparent emergence from the grass beneath it. To enhance this idea, the Green Weaving Golf Club was covered in lush green walls.
