Growing Moustaches in November for Prostate Cancer

While some charities encourage shaving heads to support cancer sufferers, Movember, an Australian-based charity encourages supporter to grow moustaches each November.

At the start of November, clean shaven participants known as Mo Bros register for the event. For the rest of the month, they allow their moustaches to grow to raise awareness for male health issues, particularly prostate cancer. The event also aims to raise money for its chosen prostate cancer foundation beneficiaries in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Spain, United Kingdom and United States of America.

Movember ends with the crowning of the Man of Movember.
