Self Serve Nightclubs

Amsterdam's Bartenderless MiniBar is World's First

MiNiBAR, the world’s first self serve bar, has opened in Amsterdam along the Prinsengracht canal. The club offers a wall of 45 private mini-bars which patrons get a key to after leaving a credit card at the front desk.

You become your own bartender at your own exclusive party at MiNiBAR. You mix your own drinks while enjoying hip music and fabulous food brought in from local restaurants. The brainchildren of the concept say it’s “more like inviting your friends to hang out in a hip hotel room than standing in line waiting for a drink at a regular bar.”

The innovative nightclub is apparently one-of-a-kind, but I could see the idea catching on--in countries that would allow such a liberal thing, that is.
