Are the replica stone heads recently found on Northern England doorsteps a marketing scheme? More than likely. That, or someone has a lot of time on their hands, or is getting ready to ride the tail of Halebop, if you know what I mean. The stone statues mimic their larger brethren from Easter Island. The intriguing part of this story is that each of the 18 inch heads have the same riddle attached.
