Solar-Powered Racecars

Nuna5 to Compete in World Solar Challenge

The Nuna5 is a solar-powered racecar that is set to complete in the World Solar Competition.

Designed by Delft University, the Nuna5 is entirely powered by the suns rays and designed to navigate difficult terrain, such as the Australian Outback.

The racecar also comes with a battery that stores extra electric power.

If Delft University wins this year's World Solar Competition, it will land them their fifth trophy.

Implications - The eco-movement transcends niche groups and has become a powerful cultural force. Youth consumers prize waste reduction and sustainable design practices in their ethical decision making. Companies can court this demographic by building marketing campaigns that align the brand with the worthy values of environmental stewardship.
