Fallen Log Centerpiece by Jeff Zimmerman

Ever since I visited the island of Murano outside of Venice, where they make some of the finest (and cheesiest) glass in the world, I've had an obsessions with fine glass objects. This log centerpiece by Jeff Zimmerman is one of the finest. I've watched comparable glass blowers work, and for a piece to reach the level of perfection that these logs have acheived is a real accomplishment. I'm assuming there probably was a lot of broken glass on the floor after this run. I also mention the piece because it continues this establishing trend of recreating natural objects, such as logs and antlers and the like, in materials that have to be highly manipulated to acheive the form of the natural object.
