It's always amusing when cross-specialty contests arise, and this year's 'Dance Your PhD' scientist dance video contest is no exception. The Gonzo Scientist asked PhDs around the world to create and film an interpretive dance of their research.
The video above is one of the winners of the 'Dance Your PhD' contest in the Graduate Student category, Sue Lynn Lau of the Garvan Institute of Research in Sydney, Australia. Lau's thesis is entitled "The role of vitamin D in beta-cell function." Go figure.
The other three video categories are Postdocs, Professors and Popular Choice, the latter of which is determined by YouTube views during the contest's duration.
