Fashion Emulation

Britney Spears' Style Channels Madonna

The above photos were posted in a Daily Mail article written today and, without a doubt, it’s apparent that Britney Spears channels Madonna’s fashion.

Fans inspired by superstars and copying their styles is normal and expected, but to see a celebrity doing the same is a bit unusual. You don’t even need to have someone point out how close Britney Spears’ attire worn at the Bambi Awards resembled one of Madonna’s ensembles from her Sticky & Sweet Tour.

Celebs may wear the same fashion trends from time to time but when it comes to Britney copying Madonna, it happens a lot more than usual.

Despite Britney wearing Madonna-inspired styles on and off the stage, I disagree with the Daily Mail’s postulation that she copies Madonna when it comes to the raunchy performance factor. Long before Madonna stepped onto the scene, rock and pop-stars used sexual moves during concert performances--and, more than likely, they will continue to do so.
