Monkey’s Journey to the West is the name of the brilliant traveling opera which is a collaboration between musical genius Damon Albarn, visual artist Jamie Hewlett and director Chen Shi-Zhen. 

The show tells an ancient Chinese tale of Monkey and his journey west to return some sacred documents with lots of amazing acrobatics, dancers and martial arts thrown in.

Creative collaborations like this one are high class entertainment. Monkey Journey to the West has already been launched to much success internationally with shows in Paris and Manchester. Currently the show is running in London at the O2 center until January 4, 2009.
