Morbid Portraits of Pop Icons

D*Face is a British street graffiti artist who also does rather morbid, incongruous and distorted portraits of famous icons, often using images that have been exhibited indoors in galleries and other venues.

The cultural and ideological icons preferred by D*Face include Marilyn Monroe as seen through the work of Andy Warhol, the Queen of England, the late John Lennon, rock band Nirvana's tragic frontman Kurt Cobain, and Che Guevara, among others.

Implications - Even though these paintings have a slightly depressing look, they are still worthy of significant attention with their unique take on popular icons. D*Face does a great job at twisting popular designs to his own taste.
