Photojournalist Jeffrey R Werner's new book entitled 'Incredible Stunts' showcases his best photographs from 30 years of capturing death-defying action created for film and TV.
Some of the stunts are made to look easy, like riding motorcycles over a large airplane or riding over the Great Wall of China. Fires and spectacular crashes are also featured, as well as the exploit of a handcuffed escape artist who risked drowning in a washing machine.
All the stunts were highly dangerous, and some stuntmen did not escape injury. One of the most jaw-dropping photos was taken of a grandmother who wing-walked on a biplane at an altitude of 1,000 feet with only a sundress and no safety harness.
