Prostitute Fashion Shows

"Madame B_tch" Parade in Madrid

Runways are made to entertain, and a recent Madrid show did so with panache. The models in this fashion show weren't your ordinary supermodels -- they were real life prostitutes.

No, the event wasn't meant to display the latest trends in GPS hooker shoes. Decked out in designer clothes, they strutted the outdoor catwalk to raise awareness and acceptance for ladies of the night. Their intention is to support other women in their industry and to show the public they are not bad people and should be treated with respect.

The video above shows coverage of the "Madame Bitch" fashion parade.

"Prostitutes held colorful fashion parades in central Madrid on Thursday to demonstrate against plans by property developers to buy up premises in which they have long plied their trade," Reuters explains.

"Organizers said the street parades were intended to show that the prostitutes were no threat to local residents or shopkeepers if they stayed in the area."
