Insect Accessories

Princess Beatrice's Butterfly Bonnet

Ordinarily when you see an accessory as eccentric as Princess Beatrice's butterfly hat, you write it off as a very rare, albeit entertaining fashion faux pas. However, one could start to wonder that this look is catching on and may inspire mainstream fashion when it's pointed out that this is in fact the third such hat we've featured on the site.

The first was at Alexander McQueen's spring 2008 runway show, the second was Sarah Jessica Parker's extreme floral bonnet she wore the London premiere of the Sex and the City movie, the third a line of bouquet hats.

Perhaps the princess really is onto something, Roberto Cavalli thinks so. The fashion designer recently told the Daily Mail he wants her as his next muse.
