Guillaume Drapier, a designer at the Royal College of Art in London (UK) calls his American oak chair a powerchair because, “Without resistance, no power is possibleâ€. The line is taken from a quotation by Michel Foucault that Drapier added to his website. You can see why: his set of chairs all rely on each other to stay together as chairs. They can be arranged leaning against each other forming a short staircase made of chairs as each is of a different height.
