Retro SuperCar Revivals

BMW M1 Homage

BMW unveiled the M1 Homage, the luxury auto maker's sleek new super car at the Concorso d'Eleganza at the Hotel Villa d'Este this past weekend. The unveiling of the Homage was to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the M1 super car model which was discontinued in 1981.

Implications - Whether they can afford it or not, car buffs definitely get excited when a limited-edition ride comes rolling onto the market. Businesses that re-release popular items such as the featured supercar gain hype from consumers who won't be able to wait to get their hands the product. Even if the product is something that can't be bought by the majority of the population, viewing it is just as exciting.
