"Excuse me, waiter. There is a cigarette in my tea." Not quite. That cigarette IS the tea. Schnaiders has introduced tea packs and rolls to resemble cigarettes. And get this, the "filter" acts as a float to keep the tea-stick upright for stirring.

Implications - Fancy packaging has slowly shifted to quirky playful approaches so that the product becomes even more attractive to customers. While glimmer and fancy typography works, packaging similar to Schnaider is more effective because of it's whimsical and unpredictable qualities. Consumers want an element of surprise that makes even the simplest of products more fun to have in their homes. Sometimes, it just takes that extra twist to accentuate an object.
