Controversial Stencils

Hitler and Chaplin Ad for Hut Weber

Hat store Hut Weber crossed a very skittish line in Germany by using Adolf Hitler's iconic mustache and hair in a stencil ad to promote its hats. The controversial image is right next to the equally iconic and recognizable bowler hat and mustache of 1920's comedian Charlie Chaplin with the caption, "Its the Hat" right underneath Chaplin.

The print ad created by Serviceplan agency has generated a lot of controversy and plenty of publicity for Hut Weber I'm sure.
