San Francisco City as Hydro-Net in 2108?

This will be San Francisco after 100 years according to IwamotoScott Architecture, winner of the “History Channel City of the Future” contest. IwamotoScott visualize the city run by Hydro-Net, using “Geothermal Mushroom” configuration to take out heat and water from the earth, and quirky “Fog Flowers” to provide moisture from the air and cultivate algae, which would then be converted into hydrogen fuel.

The innovative design combines the most ground-breaking green technologies with San Francisco's exceptional microclimate and geologic conditions, to create a persuasive image for the future. It is a wide-ranging set-up of above ground and underground systems that accomplish infrastructural needs for the progress of people, water, hover-cars, and energy all over the city. Check out the amazing images of the future world.
