Super Space Beer (UPDATE)

Sapporo is Selling Beer Made from Barley That Spent Time in the Cosmos

Space Barley is Sapporo’s latest beer and it’s not just any beer-it’s space beer! Only 250 six-packs are available and they will be sold to lucky customers who are picked at random from their website. Enter for your chance to buy before December 24th.

So what makes Space Barley space beer? The barley used is directly descended from barley seeds that spend five months in space (aboard the International Space Station in 2006). One six-pack of space beer will set you back $110. The profits from the sale of the space beer are donated to Okayama University to promote science education and foster space science research.
