Vegetables As Appliances

Antoine Lebrun's Aion Kitchen

Antoine Lebrun's futuristic kitchen design called Aion Kitchen is supposed to answer the question, "What would a small kitchen look like in 10 years?" Brandt Aion is a multi functional kitchen which merges electromechanical and vegetable technology. The specialized plants, which were developed by the aerospace industry for their filtering and cleaning properties, provide a renewable supply of clean water and vegetable soap. When cooking, the plants act as the filtering hood and when it's time to clean up, you simply place the dirty dishes in the sink, close the hood, and the all-natural clean cycle does the rest.

I can't understand how this small kitchen is supposed to work because I don't understand how the different processes involved are integrated into a coherent, fluent model. The whole thing sounds great and looks better on paper, but I don't know how I feel about it at this point.
