The intrepid Eric Idle of Monty Python fame has teamed with YouTube and launched Pythonline.com. The spanking new website is a “digital playground” of the beloved British comedy series. There are subscriber-posted galleries, forums, videos, and a daily blog-like home page. There’s even a “Pet Personals” page, a sort of dating service for critters.

The brilliant gang from Monty Python has had enough of the world plundering their celebrated skits and posting them in low quality. They have decided that instead of going to court or stoning us, they will offer all of the skits in one place. “Now you can save your eyesight and join the Monty Python YouTube Channel, where you can enjoy high quality Python lounging in your knickers,” the site proclaims.

It’s hard to say how the often politically incorrect Python productions would be received if they were released today, but the hardcore fans will surely eat this up.
