Despite the fact that they’ve invoked the ire of fashion-conscious folks everywhere, Crocs don’t appear to be in danger of disappearing any time soon. In fact, this week found the French Health, Youth, and Sports Minister Roselyne Bachelot wearing Crocs after losing a bet she made with France’s Olympic athletes.

Bachelot promised that she would wear a pair of pink Crocs to work if France returned from the Beijing Olympics with at least 40 medals. When the athletes met her goal exactly, she held up her end of the bargain.
