Molded Mansions

Conception to Construction of the Plastic Moon House by Norisada Maeda Atelier

The Plastic Moon House designed by architect Norisada Maeda Atelier all began as a series of molded plastic castings. The beginnings of this architectural marvel come out in the names Atelier gives the structure. The architect refers to the home as containing multiple casts and voids.

However, the features of the Plastic Moon House far exceed the connotations of casts and voids. There’s a pool next to the kitchen on the top floor, and an underground garden and music room.
