Gareth Pugh’s Spring/Summer show at Paris Fashion Week defiantly revealed a geometric, black and white makeup theme, in which origami lashes made a debut.
Contrasting with Chanel’s and Prada’s natural, blended Spring looks, this avant garde aesthetic centered on a bold precision. A firm, two-toned paper--with black on one side and white on the other--was affixed to the eye in a way that continued the dramatic angle of the lined cat eye. The paper was folded to reveal black or white with the blink of an eye. This look presents a creative, post-modern addition to the false lash family.
