Lace-Patterned Concrete

The 'Nottingham Contemporary' is a Modernized Warehouse for Art

From far away, the recently completed Nottingham Contemporary art centre in Nottingham, UK, resembles a typical container-style warehouse. But if you look closer, you’ll realize it is so much more.

The Nottingham Contemporary was inspired by New York artists’ spaces of the 1960s and features a lace-patterned precast concrete facade as well as fluted gold anodized aluminum on two of its roof blocks.
