The enormous cocoa structure, which was decorated in pastel floral designs, was hammered apart in the Euroma2 shopping mall. The delicious dark chocolate chunks were sold to people on the spot, the proceeds benefiting those affected by the recent Abruzzo earthquake.
Another interesting thing about this: note how few people attended the event. Maybe a couple hundred. But online, thousands of people have seen this giant chocolate egg. It's just another reminder of how powerful the internet has become in bringing awareness to art and good causes around the world!
