Controversial Ads

These print ads for the Live Poker magazine, especially the first ad, might be deemed controversial in the USA because of the representation of the white supremacist group the Ku Klux Klan. The image in and of itself is not advocating anything offensive unless you are strongly against online gambling. It is just the visual likeness of the recognizable white robes and the white cross in a red circle that might rub some people the wrong way.

The ads, which are supposed to showcase the great "bluffing abilities" of some people in the face of insurmountable odds, also show two other images portraying an old, frail lady being unceremoniously hauled off to jail and a decidedly ugly dude winning a beauty contest. The caption reads, "Become the king of bluff. Live Poker Magazine"
