Cardboard Catwalks

Strode College Challenges Young Designers With Odd Medium

Upcycling cardboard packaging through costume and couture design was the task recently given Creative and Art and Design students at Strode College in the UK.  The recycled cardboard design results included an octopus, a shark, a warrior, a dragon, an owl, and some very original gowns.

The original and unique fashions ranged from simple forms to an elaborate curl-embellished gown and octopus. The project results were celebrated in a cardboard catwalk show in which students modeled their novel creations.
