25 High-Rising Heels

No longer relegated to the ‘70s, platform pumps are back in full force this season. With the recent theme of fear-inducing, sky-high heels it seems only appropriate that designers have turned to platform pumps to increase the inches on what is already death-defying footwear.

These days platform pumps are fairly sleek. The elevated area is even sometimes hidden inside the front of the shoe for increased comfort and elongation. If the platform is visible, designers often decorate the extra surface area with everything from diamonds to cartoons to an alarm system.
