From organic eco jeans to women-run companies, this top list of ethically branded denim examples ranges from small businesses that maybe you've never heard of to larger collaborations. When it comes to the latter, here are two example. First, Public Enemy collaborated with social business Sawa in order to create a sneaker that included denim, leather and suede. The lining reads "Suckers never wear me." Second, Diesel and Edun came together for a commercial that included performance art as a way to promote its creation of jobs.

Ethically branded denim obviously means that what's truly "ethical" depends on not what the social businesses themselves actually offer but how you determine what ethical means to you as (or as not) an organizing principle.
