For his Chanel Fall 2009 collection, Karl Lagerfeld sent models down the runway in highly tailored, elegant pieces in black, white and some green.

While most of the Chanel Fall 2009 collection was comprised of the typical skirt, pant and top combinations, Lagerfeld surprised guests by sending three optical print catsuits down the runway. See these sexy, opulent pieces in the gallery.

Implications - Lagerfeld decided to call the Chanel Fall 2009 collection Belle Brummell, which refers to Beau Brummell who always looked absolutely impeccable back in the late 1700s and early 1800s. He also always wore a neck piece called a "cravet," which can be found in different styles on the Chanel models.
