The 2008 Pentawards for worldwide package design have been announced. The awards include honors for the top package designs in food, beverages, body care and luxury products.
This is a selection of some of my personal favorites from the winners. A new red aluminum Coca-Cola bottle is the Platinum winner in the beverage category. Gloji puts its juice in a light bulb shape and tags it as 'The Juice That Makes You Glow.' Two water bottles are here with gorgeous vessels: Evian looking like a perfume bottle and Lanjaron with a built-in mountain.
In the food category I love the Sultry Sally potato chip bags, the packaged herbs from Waitrose Herbs and the Miaw Miaw cat food tins.
Also here is a body detailer 'shower tool' from Axe, a cool box for laundry soap that looks like a washing machine and the Best in Show, Diamond Award Winner Piper Heidsieck with its upside down Rosé Sauvage by Viktor and Rolf.
