Here we have a chair throw with one major difference--there is no chair! Designed by Niels van Ejik for Droog, each chair is comprised of a single formed cowhide.
To make the Cow Hide Chair, an untreated hide is stretched over a chair form when it’s wet. The hide is then left to dry for a week, at which point it is a completely solid form suitable for sitting on. As each hide is different, the chairs are all inherently one-of-a-kind.
