Eco-Friendly Paris Pyramids

Le Projet Triangle

Le Projet Triangle is a triangular building planned for the Porte de Versailles area in Paris by architects Herzog and de Meuron.

The building, designed as a triangle to prevent it from casting shadows on other nearby structures, was also planned with the optimization of solar and wind power in mind.

Le Projet Triangle is scheduled for completion in 2014.

Implications - Skyscrapers can get a bad rep for taking up too much space and eliminating parts of nature in the process. But as much flack as corporations get for building these large workspaces, architects are starting to take the natural environment into concern. With solar-powered and wind-powered structures, it's likely that newer builds in the future may become more mother-nature friendly.
