Till Receipt Lamp

Bright Idea by Elise Fouin

It takes a minute to figure out what the abstract binary looking code is and how it is attached to the bulb--this eco lamp is made from recycled till receipts. French designer Elise Fouin has built a portfolio of obviously recycled objects--from recycled metal necklaces to lacy, snowflake like textiles but this minimal lamp is perhaps the simplest and the most elegant.

Implications - As a response to environmentally friendly attitudes, brands are looking to use sustainable materials for production. Not only does this save mother nature, but it also demonstrates the commitment businesses have to provide eco-conscious consumers with what they want. This promotes a friendlier image for brands looking to establish a friendly, non-corporate reputation.
