Do you get frustrated with slow data transfer rates? Well, there’s definitely hope. Alcatel/Lucent have broken the record with transfer rates of up to 25.6 TERABITS of data per second!

The world record for fastest data transfer was just broken by Alcatel/Lucent, as they were able to transfer 25.6 terabits of data in one second over a single fiber strand. Well, that certainly puts my DSL line to shame. (gizmodo)
