Duane Reade, a drugstore chain that's a subsidiary of Walgreens, is providing New York City shoppers frozen treats and other goodies with its new 'UpMarket Fro-Yo Bar' at its Broadway and 52nd Street location.
The UpMarket Fro-Yo Bar will offer eight different flavors of frozen yogurt, including 'Blueberry Tart,' 'Mango,' and low-fat versions of vanilla, chocolate and more. In terms of toppings, there is everything from Oreos and coconut flakes to Fruity Pebbles and fresh fruit. In addition to the frozen yogurt, the bar includes a fresh juice bar, a 'Freezee Station' that serves slushies, and a 'Good & Delish' station that offers different flavors of oatmeal. There will also be a sushi chef on location to provide shoppers with fresh sushi.
According to DNAinfo.com, the UpMarket Fro-Yo Bar addition is part of the chain's larger effort to proivde customers with more than just "lipstick and aspirin."
