The SLAB Controller Integrates MIDI Pads and an OLED Display
References: alphatheta
The SLAB controller is a dedicated MIDI pad controller developed through a collaboration between Serato and AlphaTheta to provide hands-on control for Serato Studio music production software. It features a grid of 16 velocity-sensitive RGB pads, a 7-inch OLED touch display, four rotary encoders, a multifunctional dial, a long-stroke touch strip and transport controls for play, record, and navigation.
The hardware is compact and USB-powered, designed to unlock the full version of Serato Studio when connected and to enable sequencing, sample chopping, effects triggering and parameter adjustments directly from the controller without extensive MIDI mapping. SLAB also offers native integration with Serato Sample and can function as an accessory for Serato DJ Pro.
SLAB’s layout supports beat creation and performance workflows by combining performance-oriented controls with visual feedback, and its connectivity and feature set make it suitable for studio use or live electronic music production.
