Artist Daniel Edlen has melded his artist skills with his passion for music, transforming vinyl albums into pieces of art. Each hand-painted original is done on old records of artists like Jim Morrision, Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra, Kiss, Janice Joplin and more. Check out Danile’s time-lapse video for the pop art portrait of Johnny Cash’s album.  Creating portraits of musicians on their original record albums, Daniel honors the music we all now listen to mostly on CD or MP3. He uses shades of grey to bring the face out of the shadows of the grooves and capture the spirit of the subject. Daniel's Vinyl Art gives people a way to say, "This is my music, my culture."
