Dual Magazine Covers - NYLON Features 2 Gossip Girls Covers (GALLERY)

The latest issue of NYLON magazine was printed with alternate covers, one featuring Blake Lively and the other Leighton Meester, both of whom stars of the hit TV series Gossip Girl.
It’s a great marketing approach for the magazine, as fans of the show (or the celebs) will instantly be attracted to both covers. A true collector would probably go so far as to purchase both, despite the inner content being the same.
The issue features a beautiful editorial spread of Blake, who plays Serena Van Der Woodsen on the show, and Leighton who plays Blair Waldorf.
Blake on how she almost turned down the show: "[I thought] if there are pet monkeys wearing coordinating outfits, that's not something I'm going to want to be a part of.... "
Leighton on Gossip Girl style: "Serena is more thrown together and effortless and doesn't really care, and is just like, has this sexiness to her without trying, and Blair is really uptight and conservative and put together and everything has to be perfect, you know Chuck is kind of cocky and he's just like, I don't know, a prick."
