Metalamp is Lighting Accessories as Stand-Alone Furnishings

— July 12, 2012 — Art & Design
Light fixtures are very important domestic inclusions, of course, but rarely do they influence the ultimate layout of a room. Breaking with convention, the Metalamp collection features three unusual looking illuminating objects that take up a great deal more space than there common counterparts.

You could consider these pieces as two table lamps and a floor lamp, yet they come with black rectangular masses as part of their bases. One is long and low like a bench, accented asymmetrically with a matching lampshade on one end. Another takes the shape of a side table up on four long legs, topped with a centered geometric shade. The last of Alessandro Busana's Metalamp collection is a tall column, and a monumental piece emitting a raised source of radiance.
