The company who created this new fruit-flavoured herbal drink called ‘Liquid Smoking’ claims that it will deliver the same fix for smokers as they get from their cigarettes. Apparently, the drink provides an instant high, followed by a ‘euphoric calming feeling’. The drink does not contain any nicotine, it is made from a potent mix of roots from South African plants. United Drinks and Beauty Corporation, the Dutch supplier of the drink, hopes to have the product sold in bars as a mixer for spirits.  Anti-smoking groups fear it could promote addiction at a time when the Government is trying to discourage smoking.
