Jet Powered Firetrucks - Russian MIG Fighter Jet Engine (GALLERY)

This one of a kind firetruck has a jet turbine engine from a Russian MIG fighter jet. I think it would probably cause some fires of it’s own while flying down the road. This firetruck houses the largest turbine motor in a land vehicle anywhere in the world. 

Most emergency vehicles have the “KEEP BACK 500 Feet” signs on them which is not to be taken lightly with this rig, it is said to have enough power to blow over a full sized SUV. This firetruck is based on a 2003 Ferrara pumper that has had the tanks removed to make room for the massive turbine engine which measures 27 feet long and 5 1/2 feet in diameter.
