If the reflection in the mirror of your ever-expanding waist line wasn’t depressing enough, now a new mobile, the “Fitness Phone,” will leave you second guessing that tub of Ben & Jerry’s. The phone from NTT DoCoMo, Japanese’s largest mobile carrier, will not only let keep count of how many steps you take in a day, but will also let you know when your breathe smells.

“Our primary target groups would be fat-fighting middle-aged businessmen and young women on diets,” an NTT DoCoMo rep said.

Its stocked with loads of other goodies for the health-conscious gadget lover. Will this be the next Hollywood “it” phone?

A recent government survey found that on average, Japanese men in their 40s were fatter than they were 12 years ago, mainly due to lack of exercise, while women in the same age group were slimmer because they were more health conscious. (uk.reuters)
