Black Steel Narrow Skyscrapers

HEMAA Uses Steel for the Ferrocarril de Cuernavaca 780 in Mexico

Local design studio HEMAA completed the Ferrocarril de Cuernavaca 780 which is a narrow skyscraper made from black steel, concrete, and glass on top. It is located in Mexico City just between the streets and the rest of the Ferrocarril de Cuernavaca railroad. The building was designed as a thin wedge just on the property in the Polanco neighborhood.

The team was very imaginative when creating the vision, pushing boundaries, and adapting to the challenges. The team speaks about the design and perceptions of it, noting "Depending on the viewer's vantage point and the time of observation, its shape gracefully metamorphoses, offering a myriad of unique interpretation. Its unequivocal identity creates an ideal backdrop for the tower to assume a vibrant existence once it becomes inhabited."
