The Felt Mouse Has a Wonderfully Low-Tech Look

Designer Joey Roth has created a wonderfully minimalist computer mouse using wool felt, teak and aluminum. The Felt Mouse is perhaps the simplest-looking computer mouse you will ever lay eyes upon.

The Felt Mouse is a laser-optical mouse that connects to your computer via USB. The mouse is a one-off created for the upcoming American Design Club’s “Use Me” exhibit in New York City. Smart money says that Roth should mass produce and sell these mouses. Vintage items and minimalist designs are experiencing an all-time high in popularity.

I could easily see a freelance graphic designer wearing loafers with no socks and riding around on a fixie bike using the Felt Mouse. There's a good chance that won't happen though, which is why it is wise to check out the Felt Mouse here.
