Prototype Car Taser - Microwaves Kill Getaway Vehicles

Functioning like a taser gun for your car, this high-power microwave will shut down your car’s engine from a distance. The device was developed by Pasadena’s Eureka Aerospace.
What will those California television stations news channels cover? It fries the car’s electrical system. Once the prototype is developed, high speed chases may be a thing of the past. Hopefully there will be a consumer model to take care of tailgaters.
The prototype system can fire a targeted 50 nanosecond burst from as much as 50 feet away, completely frying the target car’s electrical systems. If the company can raise the funding to optimize the technology, they think they improve the firing distance up to as much as 600 feet away.
