Inspired by the car racers of the 60s and 70s, the Autodromo Vallelunga Chronograph is a beautiful timepiece. The minimalist design adheres to the tradition established by previous tachometers worn by racers in many "Italian Prototype and Grand Prix racing cars," according to the company's website.
The term Vallelunga comes from the challenging race circuit, designed by Piero Taruffi, located 20 miles outside of Rome.
Traditional tachometers would terminate once an engine's RPMs redline. The Autodromo Vallelunga Chronograph references this tendency by having a similar occurrence happen with the minute markers on the watch's face, something motor sports enthusiasts will be delighted by. Available in a black or white dial, this speedster-inspired timepiece is a beautiful addition to any man's watch collection.
