It is one thing to be told the time, it is another thing to be told how one has perceived the time that had just passed by; the TicTocTrac watch does both. It is a unique chronograph that is worn like a typical wristwatch even though its face barely resembles one. In place of hands and other recognizable watch features, the TicTocTrac watch has a black box in the center.
By double-tapping the TicTocTrac watch, a time estimation exercise commences.
Designed by students from Cornell University as an engineering project, the screen lights up and displays a random amount of time for a person to wait. When a person feels they have waited that allotted amount of time, they double-tap the TicTocTrac watch again and it informs them if they overestimated or underestimated the time.
